My 'Family'
I'd like you to meet my three kids.
This
is Beavis. His hobbies are killing things, eating, and sleeping. He's a
cool cat, easy to get to know and loves attention. Beavis and I have lived
together for about three years now.
Beavis
has moved around quite a bit, and he has been really good about making
friends with new neighbors (perhaps even better than me!). He likes staying
out all night --- catting around, no doubt, but is always home for breakfast.
His greatest fear is the annual trip to the vet. He also hates bathing.
From
time to time Beavis likes to bring me a little gift. He has presented me
with a butterfly, a snake, several mice, a bat, a rabbit, a mole, and a
great variety of birds. On such occasions I have to remind myself that
it's the thought that counts. Thank you, Beavis.
For
a while it was just Beavis and I, a couple of bachelors living the bachelor
life. However, since August of 1996, we have been living in a larger family.
The adjustment was a little tough for both of us, but we're both much happier
now. This is Beavis' best friend Fandango (with Beavis). Fandango is quite
a bit older than the Beav' and had to make some real sacrifices to accomodate
our moving in. Although it took some time, he's been a real sport about
sharing his territory, but he draws the line when it comes to food. Fandango
loves to eat, and will not tolerate distractions and delays when mealtime
rolls around. Fandango also loves snuggle.
Cassidy
is a dog who thinks she's part human and part cat. She prefers cat food
to dog food, and people food to all else. Her favorite activity is 'smothering
with affection'. Given three wishes, they would most likely be 1) a tongue
that could be contained entirely within her mouth, 2) to be both inside
and outside simultaneously, and 3) perpetual petting and scratching.
