I'm excited about teaching PSYC 430 Psychopharmacology and PSYC 466 Experimental Psychology during the 2002 eight-week Summer Session. Both courses feature:

  • small class size
  • tutoring on request
  • extensive web notes
  • PowerPoint lectures available for your review on CD-ROM
    and the campus network
  • detailed terms lists for each exam
  • group competition before each exam with cool prizes
  • computer testing with immediate feedback
  • secure grade posting on the web

PSYC 430 Psychopharmacology has no prerequisites and meets the Group 6 requirement in Psychology (in place of PSYC 465 Psychology Proseminar) or serves as a Psychology elective. This course reviews illicit drugs like ecstasy and methamphetamine, and drugs prescribed by clinicians to treat psychological disorders. This course will help you understand when drugs should be prescribed, which drugs are most effective, and serious drug side effects.

PSYC 466 Psychological Research
teaches you how to review the literature, develop a hypothesis, and design, run, and evaluate experiments. This course is required for Psychology majors and is a writing-enhanced course.
