You are partier Hit Counter

Welcome to The Commons, the premier spot for party information at Truman State University. Go ahead, put those school books down and lets get this party started!

Why use The Commons?

Its happened to everyone.  You go out on Saturday, have a mediocre time at Party X only to hear everyone raving about Party Y when you go back to class on Monday.  Then you think you'll be ahead of the game the next weekend, so you go to Party Y only to find out now Party X is the place to be!  Truman students love to party, and until now there's been no reliable, universal party information headquarters to keep up with what's hot and what's not. There are two types of people that use The Commons:

Shot CallersShot Callers, are in charge of gettin' the party started and keepin' the party real all night long!  If you are throwing a party, then you definitely a Shot Caller.  Is your frat hosting a party?  An entire organization -- like a fraternity -- can be a Shot Caller.  Designated Sober Drivers are also Shot Callers, as are people hosting pre and after parties.  If you do something that helps get the party started or gets everyone home safe, you're a Shot Caller.  Oh, and one last thing, don't go posting bogus information or over-hyping a party.  If you want to advertise a small get together, that's all gravy, but don't go making it sound like its going to be the party of the year.  Don't forget every Monday, Posers will have a chance to rate your party/services and the results will be posted here at The Commons for all to see.  Browse the navigation frame or check out About The Commons to see what The Commons has to offer.

Posers are people that go to parties, but don't plan them... so basically, everyone else.  Posers can rate parties, chat on the message board, get party tips, learn party lingo and more at The Commons.  Browse the navigation frame or check out About The Commons to see what The Commons has to offer.
