Research Interests

I am interested in the following areas of research:

US-Africa economic relations, impact and policy implications of globalization in developing countries,  privatization, direct foreign investment, and e-business in Africa. See publications section for my publications and scholarly presentations in these areas.  I am currently working on "Constitution and Economic Development in Nigeria," "Africa at the Crossroads of Globalization,"  and "Why E-Commerce is Underdeveloped in Africa and What Could Be Done About It."  I am also interested in the economics of conflict, especially in Africa.  My main goal is to examine the relationship between economics and religious conflict in Africa.  I am interested in doing this in order to provide a better understanding and effective strategies for prevention, containment, and termination of religious conflict.
