Teachers and administrators
We will need schools to commit to a 2 year test pilot program. This commitment involves agreeing to use solely the Korean Mathematics method in at least one classroom. We also need teachers and administrators to contact possible publishers such as Key Curriculum Press and tell them that they should make the commitment to publish the books.
Parents
If you want your children to learn math in this innovative fashion, contact your children’s teachers, principles and superintendents and encourage them to test pilot the program. Also, contact the top 50 corporations for corporate philanthropic educational giving and encourage them to adopt your child’s classroom to offset the costs of the educational materials.
Corporations
We are encouraging corporations to commit to helping out by donating money to this cause: the development of the Korean translations into edited materials suitable to be distributed to American students and teachers.
Needs
§ $108,000 to complete the copy editing and art and graphics processes
§ $72,000 to publish the books
§ $12,000 per classroom that commits to piloting the program
§ 45 classrooms are needed.
Any monetary help is appreciated and necessary for this to become a reality.
Once the editing is finished, and 45 classrooms are committed to the pilot program, there will be a 2 year pilot before the final textbooks can be reevaluated and published for the public.
