Korean students have consistently outperformed American students in mathematics. The Korean Mathematics Text Project is working to bring this successful curriculum to American classrooms. Educational experts from leading universities in the U.S. have joined Korean educators to discover the methods and teaching techniques that harbor success in mathematics. After years of travel and study on the part of Professor Janice Grow-Maienza at Truman State University, Korean texts for grade levels one through six are in the process of being translated and piloted in Midwestern schools. Explore the Web site to find out more about the project and how Korean texts might lead to better education in mathematics.
