| 12/10/03 | Review sheet has been updated (I forgot the
trans effect). Handouts about writing the experimental section of a synthesis paper will be available at the review session today. If can't come to the review session, I'll leave copies outside my door. Also outside my door will be the graded first progress reports. As of this posting (12/10/03 at about 10:20), I have only a few left to grade. I expect that the rest will be done by early this afternoon. |

| 11/20/03 | More clarifications on Exam 2. Question 6: the given concentrations are total concentrations of those species, not necessarily what is present at equilibrium (just like the problems in quant and in gen. chem.). A hint for question 5: the central peak is broader than you might otherwise expect. |
| 11/19/03 | Clarifications on Exam 2. Question 2: the complex is [Cr(en)3]3+. Question 6: assume that the ligand is always unprotonated (i. e., HEDTA4-). Question 7: DOTA binds metals as DOTA4- (you should have been able to get this from the definition of a overall stability constant). |
