Post-Exam Portion of the Exam

Revised: October 6, 2008

You may earn back a fraction of the points you missed by answering certain questions correctly.  The fraction of points is larger for people who did poorly initially and smaller for people who did well.  It is in your best interest to take advantage of this, even if you will only get a few points back.

The general rules are as follows.

1) You are to work alone.  You may not ask anyone, except for me, any question about this exam or the material on it.  You must also sign the affirmation at the end of the answer sheet that states that you abided by these rules.

2) The answer must be perfectly correct (number, unit, significant figures) to be counted.

3) There is an answer sheet on which you are to write your answers.  Answer all questions, even if you received, or think you received, full credit for your answer originally! Some problems may be changed slightly between the in-class and post exams. So read each question carefully!

4) Attach sheets showing your work for only the questions that you were asked to redo.  Use only one side of each sheet and use fresh paper (no other printing anywhere on sheet).  Do not attach the exam or the question sheets!  Remember, if no work is included, no credit will be given.

5) The due date is listed on the answer sheet.

Failure to follow these rules may result in zero points being awarded.
