During the MAA Missouri Section meeting April 18 and 19th, 2008 in Springfield, MO, I found time to catch a Springfield Cardinals game and get a picture with Louie. Notice the picture was snapped mid-pitch. |

On Saturday, May 10, after the Cardinals vs. Brewers game in Milwaukee, WI, some friends and I went to Mo’s Irish Pub for dinner and drinks. Sitting at the table next to us was the starting pitcher for the Milwaukee Brewers that day, Ben Sheets. He and his friend were kind enough to pose in a picture with me. |

June 20 and 21st a few friends and I tried wake boarding on Lake Rathbun in southeastern Iowa. This picture was taken after several failed attempts at getting out of the water, which was really tough. |

July 4th brought the Shaw boys together in St. Louis for the Cardinals vs. Cubs contest. Cousin Steve lives in Indianapolis and unfortunately, became a Cubs fan early in life. He and his wife Katie are in the middle. |

On July 26th, ten of us (including dad and me) did a fly-in fishing trip with L&M Fly-In Outposts to Otatakan Lake. After seven days of fishing, our group caught 1979 fish, most released. I’m pictured on the left with one of the larger walleye I had caught for the week (21 or 22 in), and dad is pictured on the right with a mess of walleye all between 16 and 18 inches. |
