Accreditation agencies and national professional organizations routinely recommend that computer science education incorporate social and professional ethics into their curriculum. Until recently, there has been little more guidance than these pious exclamations. Prof. Huff will present the guidance in this area offered by ImpactCS and the ACM/IEEE Computing Curricula 2001, provide a peek behind the scenes at how these guidelines were designed, and provide a guide to resources in teaching in this area. Chuck Huff is Professor and Chair of the Psychology Department at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota. He chairs the Committee on Human Subjects Research, and teaches courses in variety of areas, including social psychology, research methods, group process and social conflict, the psychology of religion, moral reasoning, and a ``great books" introduction to psychology.
