When are Digital Portfolios due? Same due date as for research studies. April 15thfor May 2003 graduation, July 11th for August 2003 graduation.
Do I have to come back to campus to finish my digital portfolio (IÕve heard this from other students?) ThereÕs no reason you have to return if you have the technology you need to complete your portfolio where you are. Some students have returned because they didnÕt have access to the technology they needed.
How do I write a good reflection? Your reflections should describe in detail how your artifacts meet the standard you are addressing. Look at the suggestions and reflection scoring guides in the Digital Portfolio Rubric and Student Guide found at http://education.truman.edu/portfolio/portfolioguide.pdf.Also look at the sample portfolios which can be found at http://www2.truman.edu/~hoffmann/mae/. Note that you will need the User ID and password, which you can get from any faculty member, the Division Office, or many of your fellow students.
How do I make an auto run CD? Directions are slightly different, depending on whether you make a Microsoft Word portfolio or a web based portfolio.

WhatÕs the easiest way to complete the portfolio? It depends on what technology you know bestÑand what your supervisor requires. For most people, doing a Microsoft Word Portfolio with all Microsoft Word files will be the easiest because they already know Word. The only new comments they may need to learn are the commands for making links and bookmarks.

If I make a Microsoft Word Portfolio, how do I include
my transcripts and other documents that werenÕt prepared in Word? Easy. Follow these three steps:
Step1.
You can scan the documents and output them as jpg
or gif files.
Step2. Open the Microsoft Word file where you want to insert
you scanned material. Make sure your cursor is at the spot where you want the
material inserted.
Step3. Go to the insert menu on the toolbar and choose the Picture
option and From File on the submenu. ThatÕs it! Your material should be inserted. Be sure to save your file.
Can I bring text files from other formats and programs into
Microsoft Word? It depends. To insert a file from another Microsoft
Word document, from a rich text format document, or from an html document, first open the
file where you want to insert the file.
Place the cursor where you want to text to appear. Then go to the Insert menu on the
toolbar and select File. You will
be promoted to select the file you want to insert. ProceedÉthatÕs it. YouÕre done. Be sure to save your file.
