Course Description
Sacred Sites in Greece was a six-credit, Study Abroad course.  The course traced the shift over several centuries of several varieties of religious worship, including goddess worship and Christianity, in the Greek world.  Students focused on understanding sacred sites such as Delphi, Delos, and Epidaurus within their archaeological, economic, historical, military, and social context.

Twenty-three students took this course.  This year, the unique feature was a Vulcanologist on Santorini, Dr. Tom Pfeiffer, who walked our legs off through pumice fields and taught us everything about volcanoes.

In September of 2007, we had a reunion and photo contest.  The first photo above, taken in Ancient Corinth by Beka Harmon, won first prize.  It's a good reminder of the natural and human beauty of Greece.
