Setting OCLC Passport to export into LANCE

NOTE: These instructions are taken from a handout distributed at the cataloging workflow training.

These instructions assume you have already set up your Internet connection with OCLC service authorization and password.

In OCLC Passport:
  1. From the Session menu, choose Open. A "Session Open" dialog box will open.
  2. From the "Session Open: dialog box, select the session Name you usually use to connect to OCLC. At Truman, this is "PRSMcat2". At most locations, this will be "PRISMcat." Click "Open" to connect to OCLC.)
  3. From the Session menu, choose Settings. A "Settings for:" dialog box will open.
  4. Select the Export/Transfer tab.
  5. Click Create. A "New Export Destination" dialog box will open.
  6. From the "Export Destination group, choose "OCLC Gateway Export."
  7. Click "OK." An "OCLC Gateway Export - Local System Settings" dialog box will open.
  8. Change the following settings:
    Host Name: lance.missouri.edu
    Port: 5500
    Timeout: 10
    Retries: 0
    Delay: 20
  9. Click "OK"
  10. Click "Close"
  11. Click "Yes"
