Give students the criteria that they have created and definitions of creativity based on this explain that we are going to do 2 creative processes and they will score each other on it afterwards.

Extrinsic Motivation—Students were told that if they could SCAMPER the Frisbee (use each letter) they would receive a prize. I brought in candy and/or pencils for the teams that accomplished that goal. This is a form of a reward that is designed to extrinsically motivate students to accomplish a task. Motivation to learn impacts the amount of time students are willing to devote. If the task is too easy or too hard it lowers motivation.
